ADVENTURES & EXPERIENCES
Beyond the lodge.
The river is only the beginning.
Please note:
Not all activities are included, and availability varies by season. Zambezi Dusk is happy to assist with bookings but does not operate these experiences directly.
TRAVEL GUIDELINES
Preparing for your journey.
To help you make the most of your stay, we’ve put together a few simple travel guidelines. From what to pack to how to plan your arrival, these tips ensure a smooth, safe and unforgettable experience on the banks of the Zambezi.
LOCAL ETIQUETTE
Respect and reverence.
At Zambezi Dusk, we cherish the rich traditions of our community and the wild beauty that surrounds us. Please honour local customs and approach wildlife with care and respect so that we can preserve the spirit of this incredible place for generations to come.
Tipping in Zambia
Gratuities are always appreciated. If you’re unsure about amounts, our team is happy to guide you.
Currency
Both Zambian Kwacha and US dollars are widely accepted. Card payments may be limited in remote areas, so carrying some cash is recommended. ATMs are available in nearby towns but not on-site.
Responsible travel
We’re deeply committed to protecting the land and wildlife. Please help us by avoiding single-use plastics, leaving only footprints, and observing animals quietly and respectfully.
Here, you are in the bush. Wildlife moves freely along the river, day and night. You may hear hippos after dark or see monkeys passing through the trees.
We ask that you move through this landscape with awareness and respect. It is not staged or fenced off. It is shared.
If you have any questions before your stay, we’re always happy to help.
